Biography
Dr. Jamshaid Ul Rahman is a Pakistani mathematician, researcher, and academic specializing in applied and computational mathematics, with expertise in artificial intelligence, deep learning, scientific machine learning for computational biology and chemistry, computer vision, and the modeling of nonlinear dynamical systems. His research integrates advanced mathematical frameworks with modern AI methodologies to develop data-driven solutions for complex scientific and engineering challenges, particularly in molecular property prediction, medical image analysis, epidemic modeling, and the simulation of biological and physical systems.
He earned his PhD in Computational Mathematics with a specialization in Deep Learning from the University of Science and Technology of China, a globally recognized institution ranked among the world's top 200 universities, under the prestigious CAS–TWAS President Fellowship. His doctoral research focused on advanced feature learning techniques for deep convolutional neural networks applied to large-scale datasets. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences, where he is actively engaged in teaching, graduate research supervision, academic mentoring, curriculum development, and institutional service, while promoting interdisciplinary research and scholarly activities in mathematics, artificial intelligence, and computational science.
