Building Mathematical Capacity Against Social Discrimination: A Pilot Youth Hackathon Initiative

International Mathematics Master (IMM) has been awarded the Elsevier Mathematical Sciences Sponsorship Fund for the project“Building Mathematical Capacity Against Social Discrimination: A Pilot Youth Hackathon Initiative.”
The initiative will take place on 28–29 March 2026 at the Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences, GC University Lahore. The program will bring together 40 students from diverse backgrounds for a two-day youth hackathon focused on applying mathematical models and data-driven approaches to examine social discrimination, bias, and structural barriers to inclusion in STEM.
The hackathon will be followed by a moderated panel discussion with academics and practitioners.
