The Board of Governors (BOG) in its 47th meeting held on December 20, 2025, is pleased to approve the proposed admission policy for MPhil admissions at the Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences (ASSMS), Government College University, Lahore with immediate effect as per following details.

✅ A candidate shall be required to score overall 50% marks at the minimum level to qualify the test.
🎓 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- A candidate having sixteen years of education or 4-Year education after HSSC/A-Level/Grade-12/Equivalent in the relevant subject, with 2.50/4.00 CGPA in Semester System or 50% marks in the Annual System, shall be eligible to apply for admission.
- Only those applicants shall be eligible for admission, who qualify the ASSMS. GCU GAT / Entry Test.
- Candidates working in Government/Semi-Government or private institutions may apply. Such candidates shall have to submit “No Objection Certificate” from the Head of the Institution where they are working.
- There is no age limit for admission to MS/MPhil Programme.

📈 Percentage to CGPA Conversion (Annual System)
The Percentage of Marks of students coming from Annual System shall be converted into CGPA as per formula given by HEC, i.e.
