The 43rd meeting of the Board of Studies was successfully convened on March 17, 2026, at the Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences (Abdus Salam-SMS), Government College University Lahore. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Khurram Shabbir of Abdus Salam-SMS.
Distinguished academic members attending the session included Prof. Dr. Ghazal Akram, Director of the Institute of Mathematics at University of the Punjab; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hussain from COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus; Prof. Dr. Shabnam Malik from Forman Christian College; and Dr. Imran Anwar from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
During the meeting, the Board conducted rigorous academic deliberations focused primarily on the approval of external examiners for PhD candidates, ensuring adherence to the highest international standards of scholarly evaluation. Additionally, MPhil students presented and defended their research synopses before the Board, engaging in constructive academic discussions and receiving detailed scholarly feedback.
